Hello, me again!!!

Currently 9 + 2 weeks and what a rollercoaster.

I bled red at 4 weeks, brown spotted until 4+4.
Bled red again 5 weeks, brown spotted until 6+2.
EPU scan showed baby forming no HB.

Went back to EPU where they found a heartbeat at 7 weeks.

8 weeks started bleeding red AGAIN so had a private scan where baby had a very strong HB and sonographer could see a SCH but said it wouldn't harm the baby.

Now 9 weeks and the red is creeping back again, very light but there when wiping.

Surely all this bleeding can't be okay!?

Does anyone else have A SCH with repetitive bleeding and be fine?

I had the same thing on and off in my pregnancies and so did my Sister.

With my DS I had an especially large bleed at 12 weeks. Up to then it was fairly constant but not large. Varying from red to brown.

It's just so stressful as everytime you just think it's the end of the pregnancy.

With DS I was shown the haemorrhage on the scan. Constantly bleeding.

I don't really have any advice except to keep getting it checked out for peace of mind. Once your baby is bigger your midwife will be able to pick up the heartbeat without a scan each time.

I hope everything progresses well xx

I feel your pain. It happened me a few times this pregnancy, including a big bright red bleed at 12 weeks. They couldn’t even find a cause on the scan each time. I’m 21 weeks now.

It is distressing but try to remember that once a heartbeat has been seen the risk of miscarriage does drop dramatically. Wishing you a better journey after you pass this difficult stage Flowers

@uggmum

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It's really difficult isn't it.

Definitely going to contact my GP again on Monday. There's always something to worry about isn't there!

@CurryandSnuggle

Thank you for sharing also 😊
Glad your experience has ended up still so positive. Wishing away the days.

I didn't know that it reduced the chances with a heartbeat! Xx

Yes. It's hard to stay positive. That feeling when you see blood. It's like your heart stops.

Have you seen your Midwife yet. Once you have she can at least be your contact point and offer you support.

In my area you can self refer to the epu for a scan. Might be worth checking if your local hospital does this.

Sending positive vibes
