Nausea for the first time at 29 weeks

Just that really. Feeling a bit perplexed.

This is my second pregnancy and I luckily didn't get significant morning sickness in my first trimester either time.

However for the last couple of days I've been feeling extremely nauseous on and off. I've only actually been sick once, this morning after breakfast but it was a pretty spectacular projectile vomit. I haven't eating anything since then but just about to try a piece of dry toast.

My 2 year old has been ill this week and threw up a couple of times, but that seemed to mainly be a cold and cough and it was the coughing that made him sick. (He had a negative covid test)

I on the other hand have no cold symptoms and it doesn't really feel like I have a stomach bug - no pain or diarrhea - just really bad nausea. Baby has been moving and I've got no other worrying symptoms like any bleeding, discharge, any of the pre eclampsia things they tell you to watch for etc.

Has anyone else had this? Is it worth me contacting my midwife?

I'd contact midwife if your worried, but with my first, I didn't get any sickness or nausea at all untill about 28 weeks. It would only ever happen after food. Just put it down to baby not liking what I was eating. It was always the chocolate weetabix for breakfast that he wouldn't let me keep down 😩 currently pregnant with baby no'2 and this one has been sickness from the start, good luck

Thanks, good to know someone else has had the same (although sorry for you!)

I've actually been feeling my baby move a bit less this evening than I normally would, which I think is because he normally gets going after I have dinner and I haven't had dinner today. So going in to get checked, hopefully quickly and reassuring Confused

Hope all is well, mines the same.
When's ever he stops and try's to scare me I just drink a fizzy drink, soon regret it when he's bouncing away in the middle of the night, fingers crossed that everything is okay for you both

Thanks Smile

I've actually felt him loads since I last posted - but midwife asked me to come in anyway and it turns out I was very dehydrated from throwing up and baby's heart rate and mine were too high! I've had IV anti sickness medicine and fluids now, bit dramatic but seems to be helping. I'm glad I called the midwife as I knew something wasn't right.
