Hi, I'm double vaccinated and had covid last January but I've tested positive today. Will it harm the baby? Anything I should do?

I tested positive after Christmas, I was about 23 weeks. I was told to monitor my temperature and take paracetamol if needed, watch my breathing, drink plenty of water and rest. I am also double vaccinated and had my booster just before I got covid. Thankfully because of this (I assume) my symptoms were very mild, sneezing, runny nose, sore throat and tired. I was fine after a few days, however the tiredness has hung around. My husband hadn't got around to getting his booster, he had it a little worse, temperatures for two days and a bad cough, but he was ok.

My hospital took me in this week for a scan to monitor baby and placenta and all was perfect . They will continue to scan and monitor me now every 4 weeks (this is in Ireland).

Its a worrying time, I hope you're OK and not too stressed. Hopefully all will go well for you Smile

I would go to the doctor. Fever is really dangerous during the first trimester. They should advise you on what you can take if needed

I'm unvaccinated and caught it about 2 weeks before my scan. Baby was fine, I just kept an eye on my temperature and drank plenty of fluids.
