When should baby movements become regular?

Hi! I am 23+4 weeks pregnant and have started feeling some little prods every now and again. I feel something at least once everyday, more if I'm extra lucky, but just wondered when they should become regular enough to track or report if any concern?
Baby has been quiet today x

I believe it is 26-28 weeks depending on the policy of your hospital in regards to reporting reduced movements.

I was told by my midwife from 24 weeks that triage will welcome you for reduced movements! It says similar in my notes. Before this, you just ring your midwife and they will do a check on the Doppler.

I'm 23+2 and have got a pattern with baby so would definitely be ringing if things didn't seem right (posterior placenta and second baby)

Baby is still small at this stage but there is no harm in ringing for advice if you are unsure and anxious 😘

I'm currently 26 +2 and have had very regular and consistent movement getting stronger since towards the end of 22 weeks. Actually had reduced movements a couple days ago and my hospital unit was more than happy to see me

I will say I did have a bit of a similar panic around 21 weeks where I'd felt something everyday for a week then nothing for an entire day, rang and my community midwife came over and did a Doppler check for me.
I'd call even just to put your mind at rest as I know for me I'd never get any sleep otherwise xx

Do you have an anterior placenta? I barely felt a thing with my first until later in the pregnancy

Thanks everyone! Just to let you know we got checked out and all is well. The midwives were so lovely and glad I had called. Please call if you're ever in the same position!

I was just about to respond to say go and get checked out, I’m 25+4 now and, saying this tentatively, movements are becoming stronger and more regular but I did go in when baby was quiet over Christmas and the midwife was excellent, and told me they’d rather see me every day if I thought baby was moving less than not at all. Glad you went to be checked and that all is okay x

FWIW my baby's movements were never regular! He'd have days and days of acrobatics and then a sudden quiet day right up to 39 weeks. I went to get checked every time I didn't feel him move as much as usual and even though everything was fine I'm glad I did. No-one ever said I was wasting their time - they'd rather check. He's now 9 months old and very active every day!

28 weeks officially, according to the multiple midwives and consultants who saw me this week 😄

I could never feel anything going on in there, very rare. I know you’ve been seen now and all ok, but if it happens again I think it’s recommended you drink a glass of cold water and that’s meant to get baby moving about.

Yeah they asked if I had had tried something sugary, something cold, laid on my left or given them a prod! I had tried all but worth trying for anyone reading this but well worth getting checked even if it's the middle of the night like us!
