What does pregnancy actually feel like to you?

This is a strange question, but what does pregnancy actually feel like?

I’ve just hit 12 weeks and my nausea and fatigue have faded massively, but I’m still getting the odd bit here and there. Apart from that, I wouldn’t know I was pregnant.

So I’m wondering if anyone else feels similar? Or do you feel pregnant at all times?

Sometimes I feel more pregnant than not
I have had the feeling of sick since week 7 and still to this day - it's every day in waves.
I have headaches, really bad skin which I put down to hormones. My skin was always so nice with foundation and now looks blotchy
I have an obvious bump, pains on and off like stretchy and period type pains which sometimes makes me worry.
I feel really tired and by the evening I wanna go to bed!
But sometimes throughout the day I have to remind myself I'm pregnant!

@strawberrysummer19 that’s reassuring to hear as I can completely forget about it all day, but the one or two waves of sickness remind me again.

I didn’t anticipate the anxiety that pregnancy would bring in the first trimester. Hoping that once I’ve had my 12 week scan, I’ll be able to relax a bit more. At the moment, I’m worrying I’ve had a MMC as I feel normal again.

@Firsttimetrier yes I also have that fear of Mmc even though I've had scans but I can't wait until the next one to have that reassurance again!

For me I just want the screening results back so then I can finally feel like it's real - so the scan is one hurdle and the bloods the next

I didn't feel pregnant for most of this pregnancy (my first). Never had any nausea at all. Only now I'm 38 weeks do I feel a little sore when I've been on my feet and walking! Other than that I was only reminded I was pregnant when seeing myself in the mirror and feeling him kick!

From the end of the sickness, it was easy to forget I was pregnant, which was great as time went much quicker than when I spent time obsessing over every symptom and feeling awful. I am 34 weeks and still have to feel my stomach every morning to make sure I am still pregnant! Dream me isn’t often pregnant, so I wake up wondering if I really am.

I didn't feel pregnant around that time either. Don't you worry though, you will again! 😅My nausea came back around 14 weeks in the evenings, my bump popped out just before 20 weeks and now at 23 weeks I have lower back ache, breathlessness, feel full and bloated and like there's no space for anything, none of my clothes fit and overall am feeling more and more uncomfortable.

I remember after the morning sickness went at around 12 weeks I went through a time of not feeling like I was pregnant at all. My clothes were getting tighter but that was it. After about 22 weeks I started to feel movement and started to actually look pregnant. That’s when I started to feel sluggish and tired all the time and the sickness came back again but not as bad as in the beginning. Everyone is different though but that’s what it was like for me.

From 10 weeks to around 22/23 weeks I didn't feel pregnant at all, wasn't visibly pregnant, couldn't feel any movement etc it was a very strange time

Firsttimetrier · 18/01/2022 11:07

Thank you for sharing your experiences! I just assumed you’d feel different but it’s reassuring to hear that you all felt normal until further along.

Got my scan a week today, so just trying to stay positive that everything will okay!

Just wish I had a mini window into my womb so I could check in 😂

i dont really know that there is a feeling of being pregnant.
Feeling nauseous and that bone crunching tiredness I guess, and then later on you feel heavy and its harder to move as much, and then you get the pains and dragging feelings, but all those are interspersed with feeling ok in parts

I'm week 10 and feel nothing at all. Have had no morning sickness or nausea either to make it feel more tangible.

I suspect I'll feel like this until I get a noticeable bump/start feeling movements. It's all a bit surreal/abstract atm
