Hi everyone I had my second c section (first was emergency)
On monday after failing to dilate we agreed to a planned section the next morning
All seems to have went well and I feel alot better this time round I'm able to move around easier and was up the next day walking a round and home from hospital
I'm due to get my pick off and staples out on monday
I was just wanting to know when its safe to do stuff like when can I go out a walk
....we have a park 5 mins from our house and would love to go with my bf and son
But is it ok ....last time I stayed indoors for ages because i was so sore and scared of hurting myself

All advice for helping healing and when you started doing diff stuff would be great to hear tia

Depends how you feel. I was out walking on day 4 as I felt ok.

I'd advise taking it slowly but still doing stuff. A 5 minute walk would be fine I'd think. Sit down at the park on a bench. See how you feel afterwards in terms of achiness - if quite sore, take a few days to recover and rest but if you're fine then do it again. Build up slowly to longer walks. Good luck!

It's fine to go for a walk whenever you feel you can. I was travelling an hour each way and walking a long way through a hospital to NICU from 3 days pp, with PICO dressing still in place. It all depends on how you feel, and just don't overdo it. Take breaks at beaches and walk slowly.

I was out walking a week after, BUT I wouldn't have done that with my first section as I wouldn't have been able (emergency), the elective section was a lot easier to heal from, I suppose because there's no real rush they can take their time and they're not yanking the baby out of you.
So I suppose what I'm saying is listen to your body and do as much as your able for.
