Hi guys
I'm due in July with my first baby, I am dreading the heat more than labour itself! I cannot stand the heat and the hospitals are always even hotter. I'm just wondering if there are any mums here that could recommend me some tips on how to get through that and stay cool. Was there anything you specifically wore that helped, or a really good mobile fan you'd recommend?
Thanks a lot

Tbh by that time of pregnancy you’re so whale like and hot all the time that it just seems to roll into one (two summer babies here). With DC1 I did spend quite a bit of time wallowing in the deep end of the local pool and generally worrying the lifeguards.

I don’t remember the heat being as worrying for me as a pregnant woman as it was having a newborn after. But babies are born in the heat all the time and it’s not a big deal.

Cold water to soak feet in.
Damp flannel on forehead.
Sitting outside in shade - more breeze.
And McDonald's milkshakes!!

Tbh I didn't notice it much in hospital; it's hot in there even in winter (have a winter and a summer baby)!

Hospitals are about the same temp all year round (hotter than hell).

Get some shorty pyjamas and a bottle with a straw. Take wet wipes to clean yourself off if you get sticky.
