You need to be seen by your doctor straight away.

Latte40 · 12/01/2022 07:29

I'd speak to your midwife as could be an infection somewhere.

(I had some retained membranes they hadn't picked up that caused an infection that needed a specific antibiotic eventually but took a while to be swabbed / get it confirmed etc and sweats & chills was a symptom.)

Alfixn · 12/01/2022 07:29

Could it be mastitis OP?
Your milk will have been in with several days by now, night sweats are definitely normal enough but fever and chills, I don't think so!

I did and had a blocked duct which can be dangerous - you need to call GP OP

mowglika · 12/01/2022 07:50

Sounds like mastitis I had the same thing about a week after birth.. see the GP straight away and if it is mastitis they will give you antibiotics. Feed baby more frequently if you are bfing.

SaraKitty · 13/01/2022 21:33

Hope you get seen to , this is the sign of an infection so please do go to the hospital asap

choosername1234 · 13/01/2022 21:42

I had this. Was investigated for sepsis but it was "milk fever". Lasted 4-5 days

Grasshopper90 · 14/01/2022 04:33

I had this and it was mastitis. Call the GP ASAP, they should see you urgently.

Shoemadlady · 14/01/2022 04:51

Call your after birth team straight away. Could be mastitis or an infection elsewhere. Get seen ASAP x

lisaandalan · 14/01/2022 05:24

Mastitis I'd say x
