37 weeks and exhausted

Has anyone else had this? I've been on maternity leave for ages, have no other children and all blood and urine is normal. It's just that I am completely exhausted all the time for the last few days (MW check yesterday - all fine - baby fully engaged).

Is this normal? All I am good for is falling asleep on the sofa. I can't imagine doing anything strenuous, like giving birth

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Me too. I'm 37+4 and actually went back to bed this afternoon because I was so tired. I've been on maternity leave for three weeks and am so dopey, no other children here either so, I feel like I've got no excuse.

Seems to be just the way it goes, your body telling you to rest and all that. Mind you, I always find that the more I sleep, the more sleepy I feel, if that makes sense...

Me too. I sleep during the day and then I sleep very badly at night - but I don't seem to be able to keep awake in the day.

I've just come out of a phase of sleeping terribly at night and being exhausted in the day... have been actually getting a decent sleep the past couple of nights though (although that doesn't stop me sleeping in a few hours extra in the morning. Eh, why not - it will be a long while before we get to do it again).

I have no idea how people do this with multiple children though. Respect.

I still seem to be sleeping almost all the time! I suppose I should just give in?

Give in to the sleep! I was always asleep on the sofa when I was pregnant (and always awake at 4am - wide awake!!!)! Store up the good sleeps and enjoy it - you know why - as soon as your wee baby arrives you will relish any snippets of sleep that you get!
