GD- diet controlled. Induction week?

Just wondering those who were induced or had planned csections that are diet controlled for gestational diabetes... What gestation did you have your baby? Or will be having your baby?

Currently 33 weeks, and midwife told me I shouldn't be going past due date, as I've have pregnancy loss history and have GD (diet controlled very very well and minor). I have my appointment for growth scan and consultant in the 25th January (35ish weeks pregnant) and just want to roughly get an idea of if I will be offered before due date. Baby was also breech last scan (30 weeks) and midwife says she still feels like she is in breech position (4 days ago).

Due to previous losses, I'm terrified of going over due date. So don't jump on me about enquiring about having baby out before due date please ❤️

I was diagnosed with GD at 27 weeks, 3rd baby first time with GD. I have managed to stay diet controlled too and my numbers are pretty stable apart from the odd raised one. I am now currently 37+4 and had my last growth scan on Tuesday, baby boy is measuring on the smaller side at 5lb9 which is small for me as my previous two were 8lb and 8lb9 at birth.
They have agreed to induce me at 39 weeks because of the possible small birth weight. I was the one to bring up the suggestion of induction and they were supportive of my choice and booked me in straight away!
Speak to your consultant about your worries and tell them what you are thinking and how you want your pregnancy to progress :)

I was allowed to 38 weeks but part of that was also due to being over 40

I had diet controlled GD, numbers were always very stable and the midwives were always keen to accommodate my birth plan etc but induction was always there in the background due to need to avoid going overdue because of the risks etc.

I’d 100% be guided by what comes out of your scan and how you’re feeling about it all - trust your instincts and push for what you think is best for you. I had reduced movements and at my 36 wk scan they found DS had stopped growing (literally fell off the charts) so was induced at 37 weeks.

My first born had IUGR. He was born on his due date only 5lbs 11oz. So I've had history of a small baby on top of pregnancy losses and now GD. So I'm hoping they are supportive of my want to have baby out between 38weeks and 39. Thank you all for your stories and replies. I really appreciate it xxx

GD with my second pregnancy, diet controlled all the way through.
Induction was booked for my due date, had midwife appointment at 39 weeks and asked for a sweep. I just told her how much I wanted to avoid induction, especially with having DS1 to sort out. DS2 was then born a few days later, 3 days before the induction Smile

My hospital wouldn’t let mothers with GD go past 38 weeks
I was induced at 38+3 as it was agreed he could cook a little longer.
All discussed and decided mutually

All I’d add is that if you have a history of small babies make sure you are alert to the need to check their blood sugar levels post birth, and insist on them being tested sooner rather than later because of the GD. I found that during birth the specialist diabetes midwives were nowhere to be seen, it all just seemed to be forgotten and treated like a standard birth. DS was tiny (4lb 7oz) and his bloods weren’t tested until over 4hrs after birth, which was quite frankly almost too late, but thankfully all ended up ok in the long run

I was induced at 39 weeks. As it turned out baby wasn't ready so she didn't actually arrive until almost 40 weeks (multiple, multiple attempts at induction- avoid this if possible!)

My hospital won’t let you go past 39 weeks with GD.

I had an ELCS at 37 weeks and he was 10 pounds 4!
