Hello Mums
I have had implantation cramps since the moment i got pregnant. However today they have got a little worse. They are bearable but only on my right lower abdomen. Anyone had cramps on one side and it worked out okay?
Stressing my little seed might be ectopic... my mind is spinning. X

Hi @HopefulMummy44 I had cramps that were so bad they were waking me up during the night. I had a hot water bottle glued to me 24/7. They moved around sometimes they were all over and sometimes one sided and I was really worried. They lasted from around 7dpo to around 9 weeks.

We saw babies heart beat at 9 weeks 2 days and all was well 😊

I had this last week at 5+1 and it turned out to be trapped wind, was quite painful and low down on the right. I called EPU and the nurse I spoke to was really reassuring, so might be worth seeing if you can speak to someone tomorrow in EPU.

I had period type cramps all the way through pregnancy especially early on, if your nervous definitely give your local EPU a call for reassurance but thinks it’s really common in early pregnancy

I remember ringing the doctor surgery at 5 weeks with cramps and he is 2 now! It's so hard not to worry though!

Thank you for getting back to me ladies. I went to the ED today and I have a scan on Monday ( I will be 6+1 then). So hopefully all will be fine.

I have no other ectopic symptoms, just working when there has been a change in the pain.

It's good to hear that others have had the same and it worked out fine tho.

I'll have to tell someone in work about having this scan to get the morning off, which I really didn't want to do so early. But I will need to show them proof. Confused

Could you say you're having an ultra sound on your kidneys due to lower back pain and recurrent UTIs? I had one once for that years ago, what proof do they require?

HopefulMummy44 · 06/01/2022 12:59

@annlee3817
That's not a bad idea. I thought I had to provide proof to go on a medical appointments in work hours? If I don't then that will be much easier. I'm just not a very good liar when it comes to specifics. And I know that most midwife and antenatal appointments are in the daytime. So I'm probably going to need to tell him at some point

Could you phone in sick on the day of the appointment and say you've got v bad pain and need to have day off and see the doctor to have it checked ( which would all in fact be true) ?

HopefulMummy44 · 07/01/2022 18:32

@annlee3817 @CorsicaDreaming

I needed to fill in a form and put my reason so I just put abdominal pain. The people who would usually have something to say are off with Covid. So went better than I thought.

I have pains in my back today, anyone else?
