It might seem like a silly question, but I really am curious. My mum calls all baby suits romper suits, but other people call them babygro. Is it just the same thing?

Yes

I thought romper suits had short legs and arms (poss even puff sleeves according to 60s pic of my elder brother LOL.) I usually call babygros sleepsuits as we also have grobag sleeping bags and it confuses people.

No the short leg ones are called 'shorties' round here.

Oh and don't get me started on bunting. (Bunting is an all in one for travel which does not have legs but a sleeping bag bit - except nowadays people often make or buy them with legs - in which case they are actually snowsuits).

I would say that a babygro has feet in it, and a romper doesn't.

Agree with ILikeTo - I always thought romper suits did not have feet.

OK, conclusion then: Rompersuits for daytime fashion and showing off little booties, babygros/sleepsuits for sleeping/chilling out at home.

This is a proper romper suit - as worn 50-odd years ago by people like Prince Charles - you can see the difference!

Ha! Told you, puff sleeves!
