Can anyone recommend a pregnancy protein powder I can use in a shake? I'm finding it hard to eat so I would like to try a drink ☺️

Must be UK approved/accessible. Cheers

Not quite what you're asking about, but have you tried Huel? They do shakes - both ones you make yourself and ready made ones. There were several weeks in the first trimester where all I could keep down were their vanilla shakes!

Also interested - I relied quite heavily on myprotein impact whey but I'm unsure if it's safe in pregnancy

Relied on it pre-pregnancy I should say

I've taken Wildssen vegan protein powder during this pregnancy. I know a lot of protein powders are discouraged due to fillers and preservatives etc but this one seems like quite a natural blend

Thanks this is where I'm confused as they don't seem to state they are pregnancy friendly. Yet there are ones in the USA which do... But they don't post over here 🤦 I would love to be able to have a drink each morning and know I've had the nutrients I need 🤞 and not something dangerous

It’s not specifically a protein powder but what about something like Complan? You’d have to check whether it’s suitable for pregnancy but it’s specifically designed for people who have a low appetite or don’t get enough nutrients from their normal diet. It’s also widely available in the UK, sold in supermarkets and Boots.

This is an interesting article about protein shakes in pregnancy.

I use PhD Diet Whey, from Holland and Barratt.
Make a shake out of it with Milk. Low in carbs, so doesn't spike sugar levels. Made from whey protien.
