Just looking for a bit of advice. I'm 6 weeks today, nausea and sickness started from about 5+3 and I'm really struggling to keep anything down.

I can just about manage a cut up apple now and again and getting through about 2 small cups of water a day but I can't stomach anything else.

I don't know how I'm going to go back to work like this, does anyone have any advice on how to manage it please?

I suffered terribly but found toast with a very light spreading of marmite helped enormously
It stayed down and kept the nausea at bay

Flat lemonade

However please call your dr..,there are several medicines for this

Firstly, please talk to your GP to rule out more serious pregnancy sickness. But assuming this is ‘normal’ pregnancy sickness, it’s a case of finding what works for you. I found that never letting my stomach get empty helped enormously. So a constant light graze of crackers or toast or cereal. If I ate one small thing an hour I generally felt much better. Also, sipping fizzy water and eating fruity sweets helped break the cycle of having a horrible taste in my mouth which in turn made me feel sick again. You have my sympathy OP it feels like it will never end at the time but it will ease off.

When I was pregnant, I felt so sicky. It took a massive toll on my mental health. My gp prescribed an antisickness tablet which turned things around almost immediately. I'd really recommend speaking to your gp, there's no need to just power through ❤️

Call the GP first thing. You may find medication helps. Don't assume what you're experiencing is normal and don't let the GP dismiss you.

Yes call your GP and don’t be fobbed off with “have you tried crackers/sea bands/ginger biscuits etc”.

Cyclizine absolutely turned things around for me, certainly enough to get through the work day.

In the interim I agree with @SaveWaterDrinkGin. Fizzy water and Fox’s Glacier Fruits helped enormously.

Thank you everyone 🥰 I have definitely been a lot better since a few days ago. Nausea comes in waves but I'm eating and manage it.

If it gets that bad again I'll absolutely ring my GP.

Ironically now I feel better I'm worried it's not a good thing 😅 just a constant worrier I guess!
