BFP on Xmas eve but feeling worried

Hi just looking for some reassurance really. I’ve attached pics of my bfps.

My cycles are irregular and range from 28-39 days. My last cycle started on 21 November, we then DTD on 6th, 8th, 9th, 11th December. I got my first faint BFP on 24 December.

My symptoms seem to come and go, sometimes I have mildly sore boobs and slight nausea and other times nothing at all.

Is anyone else in the same boat? I’m worried that my lines haven’t got any darker since 27 dec but probably need to step away from the tests!

Limit yourself to one test a week from here on out. Ideally, stop entirely, but I imagine that's unrealistic for you at this point!

They have got darker. You’re clearly pregnant. I’d also stop testing as I’m not sure it’s helping you. Congratulations

They are clear positives and it's not uncommon for symptoms to come and go at this stage. Could you book an early scan for 8 weeks if you're worried? Things can seem a lot more real once you've seen that baba.

Definitely step away from the tests!

Please stop testing. This early stage is worrying but in the nicest way, tests won't alter the outcome. I actually think we shouldn't be encouraging early testing because of the upset it causes. Most symptoms don't really start to kick in until 5 or 6 weeks (3-4 gestation) once the hormone levels really start to rise. I would suggest trying to focus on other things otherwise you'll drive yourself mad with worry

Congratulations Flowers The lines are definitely darker, maybe get a digital just so you can see it confirmed in writing (this helped me!) and then stop testing, it will just drive you mad. I’m pregnant with my third and I’ve never really ‘felt’ pregnant until at least 7 weeks as the symptoms often come and go.

Thank you for all the replies.

@custardbear45 yes I think an early scan would definitely help put my mind at rest if I get that far.

@MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat

@gogohm thank you, yes I know the testing won’t alter the outcome. I’m just so impatient and would rather know sooner than later if it’s failing again so have become addicted to testing and tracking line progression, but ultimately I do know it’s quite pointless 😩

@MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat thank you, I did do a digital yesterday and got 1-2 weeks, that made me feel like I should do another one next week and see if it’s gone up to 2-3 😩 😂 it feels like a never ending cycle of worry!

Congratulations! Home pregnancy tests are supposed to tell you you're pregnant they're not really meant to be used as a progression chart. I agree that maybe a digital test might be a good idea as it is nice to get it in writing but please try to step away from the tests if you can.
