38 weeks tomorrow
yesterday felt very sick & bloated all day - painful stomach swelling

went to bed & waking up through night with feeling extremely nauseous (which i've had on/off through 3rd trimester), shaky, weak & just overall awful.
Had an hour of what i think were braxton hicks - but 1st baby so not sure, crazy moving and waves of tightening, then fell asleep again

this morning super nauseous feel really weak & baby is very quiet - tmi urgently needed to poo, thought could be diarrhea but was normal - should i call hospital? could this mean labour is near.

Yes, likely.. Good luck!
Ps yes I would call the hospital if the baby's movements changes

FlamesEmbersAshes · 27/12/2021 08:24

Yes, call your labour ward. Any change in the pattern of your baby’s movements needs checking.

SunshineCake1 · 27/12/2021 08:25

Absolutely get yourself to hospital. At best you're in labour at worse your baby needs assistance.

monkeyted · 27/12/2021 08:26

Could mean labour is near but most importantly now you need to call the hospital and go in to monitor baby if movement is reduced.

ShottaSheriff · 27/12/2021 08:27

Don’t delay. Call them ASAP.

zafferana · 27/12/2021 08:28

Reduced movements = call the hospital!

Good luck OP. I felt nauseous both times when labour started.

Lazydaisydaydream · 27/12/2021 08:30

Any change in movements call your midwife/doctor/maternity ward immediately.

Tabbacus · 27/12/2021 08:30

@zafferana

Reduced movements = call the hospital!

Good luck OP. I felt nauseous both times when labour started.

Also a noticeable increase in movement especially if only over a short period should be checked over too.
Lazydaisydaydream · 27/12/2021 08:30

(Increased movement as well as decreased should be checked out)

GemmaRuby · 27/12/2021 08:31

Yes definitely call them or go in immediately about the reduced movements.

I had diarrhoea and vomiting at the start of my labour (like a lot - completely emptied out)

Raindancer411 · 27/12/2021 08:36

As others have said call the labour ward to speak to them as I think it's always best to check movement changes.

Blogdog · 27/12/2021 08:40

I had something similar OP at 36 weeks. I went into the hospital and they took it very seriously. Turned out it was winter vomiting bug but they kept me in for a night for observation and put me on a drip, and then sent me home. So give them a call and see what they say.

Boohoowhoareyou · 27/12/2021 08:46

Being pregnant is so hard. You can often be unsure about when to get checked and when to wait and see. For your own peace of mind and the baby always call the hospital or go to the hospital. There are very few people who talk about over movement but trust me it's a real thing especially when there is then reduced movement. I hope you and the baby are ok x

happytoday73 · 27/12/2021 12:57

Op.. Did you ring?

minmooch · 28/12/2021 07:03

@Pelo456 how are you? Hope all ok

Pelo456 · 28/12/2021 08:36

Checked out baby all fine ! Not sure why I’m feeling so unwell but maybe just 3rd trimester stuff

Uniforn · 28/12/2021 08:38

That's good you have been checked out, its better to contact them and go in 100 times and everything be fine than leave it once and god forbid things not be okay. The 3rd trimester can be rough, I'd say make sure to keep telling your midwife how you've been feeling and see someone if it gets worse etc.
