Once again (seccond pregnancy) im struggling with sickness. The thought of food makes me feel sick/be sick, cooking food makes me feel sick/be sick, I cant even face the shops🤢 even writing this post i can feel the sick coming up my throat

Ive gone off meat, tomatoes and dairy.

Toast and dairy free butter is the only thing im managing to keep down as its qwick and bland.

Any ideas for qwick bland meal ideas that are also suitable for a 13 month old.

my mums been making up portions for me to give my little one from her dinners alot recently as she knows im struggling with even the thought of food but i feel bad about it.

Hi @Mummmaa, sorry you're going through a rough time. We're just giving your thread a bump - hopefully some Mumsnetters will be along soon to give you a bit of advice and support.

Pasta with an egg cracked over it straight after it's been drained. The egg will coat the pasta and cook. Then a tin of tuna mixed in and a fried onion. Bland but has some good nutrition in there. I was terribly sick in pregnancy and my diet was super noodles. Could you do that with some stir fried veg for your child? A ready cut pack of veg and just flash fry.

Tbh. I'd stick to toast for yourself and let you mum carry on cooking for your child. It's such a tough thing to go through. Just give in to it. It'll be over soon and you can worry about cooking nice meals then.

I ended up eating beans on toast, dry crackers and bowlfuls of plain spaghetti when I felt most sick. Cornflakes too and I drank ridiculous amounts of semi skimmed milk!

Just eat anything you can/want to. I know it's easier said than done!

I ate loads of cereal and pears lol. I drank full fat coke too which I never drink but I think it gave me a sugar hit and settled my stomach a bit Grin.

The first trimester is so bloody hard Sad

I had the most horrendous sickness until about 13 weeks, I had to just eat whatever it was I could think about without throwing up. For me it was jacket potato with cheese and beans, mashed potato and gravy or sometimes just toast with butter. My midwife said as long as I'm keeping something down that's all that matters.
I was very lucky that my partner would ask what I could eat on his way home from work and would pick up whatever it was I was craving cause supermarkets just made me gag.

Thank you for all your advice! Unfortunatley my last pregnancy sickness didnt stop till a few weeks after i had my baby so expecting it to be that way with this one too 😩 doctors wount prescribe me the tablets i was given with my first untill i pass the first trimester and it continues as it may go away and shes reluctant to give me unnesassary tablets when im pregnant, the joys of seeing any odd doctor and not your named doctor who is lovely and helped and was so understanding in my previous pregnancy 🙄 eating little and often helps but running after a 13 month old i end up forgetting to eat and just feed my son at meal times telling myself ill eat somthing little in a bit then before i know it, its the next meal time
