Been refused the booster at vaccination centre

Just been to try and get my booster at a vaccination centre and they refused to give it to me because I'm pregnant! They said the guidance has just changed and pregnant women aren't allowed It.

I was in total shock, phoned my midwife in tears worried about the jabs ive already had (double jabbed) but also worried I'm going to get COVID and be really poorly!! The midwife was fuming and said that it was total nonsense and they have got the guidance wrong. I'm booked in to the GP to have my booster next week now but still upset about the way they spoke to me and the delay with getting the booster.

The midwife is going to take it up with the centre as it's shocking they are turning away pregnant women who are obviously a vulnerable group.

Just wondered if anyone else has had this experience ?

This happened to me, so I went to a walk in vaccination clinic the next day and was given it by a lovely nurse who was raging that I had been turned away from my appointment the day before.
I had a hospital appointment yesterday and had a phone call beforehand to say that I could have my booster at the appointment if I wanted to, but had already had it. So you can definitely have it!
I was really upset when I was turned away too, I went at 36 weeks with a planned section booked for 38+3, so really wanted the time to build immunity before I go into hospital. Luckily, I got it at 36+1 and had no side effects except a sore arm.
