Hello!! My first post on this platform. But I had a question and is quite confused.

My breast has been hurting (sometimes the actual breast, sometimes my chest where my breast sit) and I don't understand why? I've had my period, but they were sore, before, during and after my menstrual. My period ended 2 days ago, my chest is still sore. Took a pregnancy test and of course it was negative. So what could it be?? Do you guys have any possible insight?

It might not be anything to do with your menstrual cycle or pregnancy. Might be worth asking your GP to have a look.

I've had this. I always comment on posts like these because it can be so anxiety-inducing. Firstly, it's highly unlikely to be breast cancer if your only symptom is pain. From your description of the pain sometimes being in your chest wall, it could be costochondritis (basically pulled muscle where your ribs join but it feels like breast pain). It could be cycle related or it could be non-cyclical mastalgia, basically breast pain with no identifiable cause. It might be cysts.

I would recommend you speak to the GP and ask for a breast exam. This should help put your mind at rest and if it's costochondritis they should be able to diagnose and prescribe some strong anti-inflammatories. I ended up having a breast clinic appointment because I was beside myself with worrying (GPs don't like to refer for pain alone because the hospital get cross!) I had a breast exam at the hospital and an ultrasound and they couldn't find anything wrong, just said it might go away and to experiment with diet. Eventually it did go away. Occasionally it comes and goes but now I know it's nothing to worry about I don't really mind so I would definitely recommend you speak to your GP. Good luck x

Thanks for replying! That makes me feel a lil more at ease. This happened before, but never this long. So I'm really worried :/
