What it says on the tin really. Sadly I’ve tested positive for Covid and I’m now extremely anxious as I haven’t felt this ill in two years. Haven’t had a cold since 2019. Baby hasn’t been as lively over last few days and worried it’s related to Covid.

I’ve come into the hospital as I was worried about baby’s movements and the midwife was a bit shirty with me as I’d been in before for worries about reduced movements. I know they probably think I’m an anxious pest but surely it’s better to be safe than sorry? Currently waiting to be seen by a doctor.

For background, I’ve had both vaccines and should be due a booster. Has anyone been in the same situation or had it and then go onto have a healthy pregnancy? 😭

My sister had Covid when pregnant, she hasn't even had any vaccines then, and she was completely fine. Baby is fine too. I know we all hear the scary stories, but for the vast vast majority of people, it's a mild illness. Try not to worry (easier said than done, I know!), rest and drink plenty!

Make sure you're prescribed fragmin injections- protocol in most trusts now for pregnant women with covid.

Try not to worry, and some of those midwives forget that is their job to fetch after pregnant women, so bother them as much as u want! Its their job to check and not sit all day

Thank goodness you've had your 2 jabs! Yes be sure to get the injections that will help protect you and the placenta from blood clots and call your GP or 111 if you feel chest pain or shortness of breath later in the week.

I had covid at 17 weeks but I wasn't poorly with it. I'm unvaccinated and all I had was a runny nose and sneezing. Didn't feel unwell at all. Now 32 weeks. Most people will be fine, try not to worry.

This is so true.

Keep hearing 'thank goodness you've had the vaccine' but the majority of people will be fine, even unvaccinated. I was unvaccinated when I had covid at 17 weeks pregnant. If I hadn't had a positive test (only tested as a vaxxed colleague - who was poorly with it tested positive) I never would have thought i had covid as it was so mild.

I got the Covid when I was 30 weeks pregnant. I am fully vaccinated too and had mild symptoms through. I let my midwife and hospital know (they didn't offer me fragmin injections, didn't even know about it until recently).
I understand your anxiety, I was really worried about the baby: the NHS doesn't offer scan after Covid, so I had a privet one after 2 weeks. Covid can't harm your baby but it really helped me to put my mind to rest.
Try to rest and drink plenty of liquid (hot water honey lemon worked for me very well) Keep on eye on the baby's movement and go in if you feel they reduced. The hospital need to see you and take care of you even with Covid!
