23 weeks and baby's movements less strong

I'm 23 weeks and whilst I can still feel the baby move several times a day, the movments seem a lot less strong than a few weeks back. Worried something maybe wrong. Has anyone else found the same thing?

I never noticed in my first two pregnancies - I don't think I was paying such detailed attention TBH. I do know that as the baby grows it runs out of room to kick and squirm so much, but I would have thought 23 weeks would be too soon for that. If you are worried contact your MW a quick listen to the heart beat would probably just relax you. Is this your first? Rest is always a good idea too!

Nothing wrong with ringing the mw to she what she thinks

I second the idea of contacting the mw if you are worried, but personally I had the same experience around the same time (23-24 weeks). I worked out that so far my baby had been peacefully churning away low in my pelvis pretty much all day, but now he was growing out of my pelvis and getting stronger, so I felt him less often, but more strongly when I did so. Now I am 34 weeks and he moves almost 24/7 and can take my breath away . But trust your intuition and don't worry unnecessarily.

I had that in my last pregnancy - turned out the baby had turned round and was kicking where I couldn't feel it. But go see your midwife for a quick listen and I'm sure you'll be reassured.

Also try lying on your side after drinking something very cold, that normally wakes the little buggers up and gets 'em dancing

that happened to me at about 25 weeks i think, we were moving house and i was ill so was well stressed and couldn't feel baby moving at all for a whole day. I had tried all the usual techniques like drinking cold water. In the end we phoned the labour ward (number should be in your bounty pack somewhere) as it was the weekend and they were lovely and said to just go in and they would listen for the baby. I really didn't want a big fuss etc but once i had been strapped up to a monitor and heard the baby's heart i was soooo relieved.
Don't be scared to get in touch with your mw/the hospital if you are still worried. All the best.
ps my ds is 13 mo now and never stops moving!
