Hi everyone I'm 36 weeks pregnant and was going to start raspberry leaf tea from 37 weeks not to start labour as I dont want that
I've just read it's good for helping you during and after labour

Has anyone used this did it actually help and how much did you use tia

@Lily189 I used this from about 37 weeks and it ended up making me wee pink and I thought I had blood in it 😫🤦‍♀️

I ended up in maternity thinking it was blood but it wasn't

Sorry not helpful advice but just wanted to warm you incase it happens to you!

Nothing like this can 'start' labour. It can help ready your body for labour :)

I used it. My labour was pretty quick but I was induced so no idea if the tea made a difference. It tasted nice though!

I always thought raspberry leaf tea was to strengthen your cervix and make labour quicker rather than induce it. I drank it from 32 weeks and went full term, but active labour was very short and I was pushing for just 30 minutes !

At 35 weeks I had one cup of the tea, a bath and sex… my water broke 4 hours later! Probably a coincidence but a ‘fun’ story!

I have bought raspberry leaf tea as recommended by a friend and it says don’t drink before 32 weeks and then it’s a slow build up from one cup to a few. I have my dates a bit earlier than the NHS so I’m going to wait a few weeks I think. Could technically start now. Good to hear positive things though.

I had 2-3 a day cups from 36 weeks, I didn’t start it too early as my midwife said not to. It didn’t induce natural labour, I was induced at 38 weeks. I had a sweep a couple of days before my induction and the midwife said my cervix was more favourable than she would expect for 38 weeks. My induction was quick with the pressary working within the 24 hours and less than 12 hours from my first contraction to baby being born. I was also having chilli sauce on all my foods, driving along bumpy roads and having sex though, so I was doing whatever I could to prep my cervix. I can’t say it was definitely the raspberry leaf tea but it didn’t seem to hurt.
