DD1 was 8LB 8 at 38 weeks
DS1 was 9LB 9 at 39 weeks
DS2 is due in April, I will be having a c-section this time round so will definitely be born between 38-39 weeks (unless he comes early obviously)

He will be born around 18th-22nd if all goes to plan, we live up north so May is either boiling hot or freezing cold Hmm

My other two only fit in upto 1 month which goes up to 10 pounds, I already feel huge and feel like he will be over 10 pounds so what size should I buy?

H&M is so confusing so iv ordered 1-2 months?

How should we know GrinGrinGrin
Do u keep clothes from your previous kids? X would have been easier to have the different sizes x

I'm due early- mid April and finding it had to work out the season thing too. Where I live it could easily be anything from -4 to 20+ degrees at that time of year!
I think I'm going to focus on having just normal vest/ babygrow layers with knitted cardigans from family and then top up with blankets as needed. I don't really want to buy a new born snowsuit which never gets worn (although they are crazily cute!)

Layers layers layers.
As for sizes, who knows? I didn’t bother with any newborn or ‘up to one month’ size clothes for my son, I just had a feeling he’d be big and it seems wasteful given he’d only fit in them a matter of weeks anyway (can always roll sleeves up Grin ) and as it happens he was 9lb 8oz, and I’m glad I stuck with 0-3 months!

It will probably be worth buying the clothes closer to the time. I bought a mix of new born and 0-3 . Honestly I could have done with more new born as he was tiny but grew quite quickly length ways. So now o-3 are too baggy on him but his legs fit perfectly 😅 as for the season as others have said just layer up. Maybe buy one or two summery outfits. Getting clothes second hand too would help cut down the cost as baby will be born between seasons.

I only bought 0-3 months for my baby.

When she was born, the clothes swamped her. She's currently in newborn or up to 1 month clothes at the moment. I had planned on only getting the bigger clothes and emergency buying smaller clothes if need be - I'd do the same again. She was born 6lb 7oz so definitely a bit smaller.

Mine were both over 9lbs and wore 0-3 months rather than newborn. I would still use sleepsuits as the weather is so variable at that time of year but have some short sleeved vests and rompers for any hotter days.

I would buy a small amount in new born and 0-3 then plan to get more once baby is born.

You can get stuff delivered next day or from the supermarket so easy enough to stock up once you know the right size.

One pack of vests in each size and one pack of baby grows. Leave them in the packs so the wrong size can be exchanged for bigger/smaller as needed.

If anyone is asking and saying they'd like to buy some clothes as a shift ask for either a voucher or suggest that they wait till after baby is born.

For newborn it doesn’t really matter tbh.
But short sleeve vests, sleepsuits and couple of cardigans in 1 month and 0-3 months. If it’s hotter that expected leave the cardigan off, if colder add blankets.

Bu the time they are born and a few weeks/ months old you can see the size and weather better for the 3–6 month

Thanks all think ill stick to 0-3 and order up to 1 month if we need it as I'll probably be in hospital a couple of days anyway ☺️
