35 weeks & since 30 weeks been really struggling with painful symptoms - constant stomach pain/ upset with diarrhea etc - a few years ago I had ibs but has been well controlled past few years so have found tbis very triggering & worried it is back for good. Pain so bad I can’t do anything can’t sleep etc , comes and goes for days at a time Been checked out in hospital twice and all tests normal

Have had another pain attack since Sunday - unable to move & this time really really bad anxiety and panic attacks - I can’t see a way through & feel almost like I can’t go on. I can’t engage with anyone because I feel so scared so alone so dreading the future & panic... feel severely depressed. Have an appointment with psych in two weeks but struggling to get through each hour

Has anyone experienced anxiety like this due to hormones erc ? Will it go away

Hi @Bethcervantes4,

We're sorry you've been feeling so rough. It's completely understandable that it's causing you a lot of stress, so we'd like to share some links to organisations which may be able to give you some support in real life.

Here's a link to the Mind website, which has some information on perinatal mental health and perinatal anxiety.

We'd also suggest that you take a look at the PANDAS Foundation which was set up to help support and advise any parent and their networks who need support with perinatal mental illness. They have a free helpline on 0808 1961 776 which is available on all landlines, Monday to Sunday 9am- 8pm. It's manned by a team of trained volunteers who will be happy to chat to you and direct you to the right support.

If you need help urgently, please go to our mental health webguide.

We're giving your thread a bump and we're sure you'll get some good advice and support from other Mumsnetters shortly.

Sending good wishes. Flowers

We're just giving this thread another bump in case anyone's around to give the OP a bit of support.

OP have you been referred to your local Perinatal team? Are you in the UK? A perinatal psychiatrist would be better to see than a general one, but hopefully you are already x
