Went 10 days over with my DD. Midwife tried a sweep but couldn’t even reach my cervix. I was so fed up. She told me to try sex. It took me a further 24 hours to pluck up the enthusiasm, but an hour after the most perfunctory sex ever, my contractions started. Maybe worth a go if you’re desperate? The sperm is said to help break down the cervix (the pessary they use to induce is made of the same chemicals), so if you do have sex then ejaculate is needed
