Yes! With my third I felt awful all they way through plus crippling SPD. Giving birth was easy in comparison and I felt like a new women by day three postpartum.

Yeah I'm 8 weeks post partum and despite feeding through the night, joint pain, difficult csection recovery etc I'm still feeling loads better now than I did for almost all of my pregnancy. You'll get there!

Yes. I felt like I was dying for my whole pregnant but as soon as DS was out, I felt amazing. C-section recovery was a doddle compared to being pregnant.

This is all part of the build-up to the point where you are so utterly fed up with hauling your pregnant belly around that you are gagging for labour to start and to get it all over with! ANYTHING is better than staying pregnant. The bounce-back afterwards is pretty instant, even if you do feel a bit beaten-up. Liberation from the bump is marvellous! Good luck

Me me me !!

OP My daughter is now 8 weeks and I feel amazing and have done since the moment she was born.

I was REALLY suffering with pubic pain and lack of sleep. I had a c section and the pain from that was NOTHING compared to the SPD. Also getting up in the night with a newborn is a breeze, yes my sleep is broken but it’s quality sleep. Didn’t realise how crap I felt until I had her.

oh my gosh this has made me feel SO much better, thank you so much to everyone sharing

Me! I really struggled with pregnancy.

Yes, when they were newborn it was tiring and all the rest of it but I felt so much better that they were not inside me anymore and at some points I could lie down without them!

Bumpsadaisie · 30/11/2021 17:16

I have to say that when my eldest was a newborn I was on a kind of high tbh.

Not quite a high when my second was newborn - it was harder work with two - but still feeling good emotionally and in a good place.

Normal

@Moonshine160

Yes it improved for me. Also my friend who had sickness and nausea all the way through her pregnancy said she felt instantly better the moment that baby was born.
This was my experience, my morning sickness was severe with dc1 and lasted the entire pregnancy but vanished as soon as she was born.
