Hi everyone,
Due to covid etc we won't be honeymooning until June.
We'd like to start trying to conceive in April time. If we were to get pregnant between April and June (unlikely I appreciate it) would it be unwise to go travelling? We're only going to Rhodes so not a long flight and it won't be anything strenuous. We don't have any other children and feeling very naive about how I could be feeling.
Ideally we'd like to have a baby born before or after the summer months. I know none of this can be guaranteed and maybe we need to give up trying to plan it all! Just worrying about lost time etc.!
Thanks! Smile

I went to Crete when I was 13 weeks pregnant and it was completely fine.

There are small considerations- you need to watch yourself in the sun/ heat and I got a mineral suncream. You could have a read of the NHS dietary guidelines for pregnancy. You might want to avoid slides/ watersports etc.

You could be horribly sick and that's more likely in the first trimester but you might not. And you'll hopefully be able to work out the worst times/ triggers/ cures and be able to use that to get through the flight.

Overall, I definitely wouldn't hold off trying and if you are pregnant by then you'll be grateful to be getting a holiday in before some big lifestyle changes. If not you can enjoy the wine :)
