Hi,
I'm currently on maternity leave (planning to go back May 22). Employed by the NHS just wondering if anyone knows how long I have to go back for before taking another period of maternity leave. Struggling to make sense of the policies online.
Many thanks 😊

I thought it was 3 months but don’t know for sure.

I worked for the NHS and it was 3 months

I had a feeling it was but just wanted to double check. Thanks for getting back to me x

Hi OP,

The handbook indicates that you can take mat leave straight after you go back and should be entitled to occupational maternity pay. The 3 months thing is that you have to return to work rather than leaving your NHS employment.

That's my interpretation of the policy but I'm happy to be corrected 😊
