Was your first baby early, on time-ish, or late???

Am due 3rd Jan, obv thinking about the birth a lot, and just curious really!

I've heard that first babies are often late, but wondered what your experiences were?

Also my mum was late with all three of us, anyone think these things run in the family?

All suddenly hit me as I flew past the 37 week mark and realised I'm now officially full-term

13 days late - totally sick of being asked, 'any signs?', 'any contractions?', etc,etc.

4 days overdue with DS. Apparently I arrived 2 days late and my younger sister arrived 2 days early.

10 Days late with ds my 1st.

My Mum was overdue and induced with all 3 of us.

dsis1 went over but not induced with her 2.
dsis2 induced with her 1.
me - ds1 14 days late, waters went but didn't go into labour. ds2 12 days late induced.

Good luck, but nothing anyone suggests to bring on labour works!!!

Ny first was 2 days over the date the hospital gave me, spot on the date I worked out myself.

I was due at new year, was 2 weeks early. Entire family of women who gave birth 2 weeks late so was not expecting it!

11 days late with ds1 and 10 with ds2, apparently it's got alot to do with the length of your cycle, because when the MW works out your dates it is based on a 28day cycle. my cycle is 44days long so i was actually 5 and 6 days early!

My mum was 19 days late(!) with me, but I went into labour at 40+4, DS born at 40+5. As you can probably imagine, I was pretty relieved that he decided not to come 3 weeks late, like I did

5 days late... but it did mean he has the b-day 07.07.07!!

Convinced he was never going to come out though!!

My mother was at least two weeks late with all of us, so I was a little startled when DS arrived two days early. Didn't have my bag packed or anything...

My brother was a week late and I was bang on time.

my mum was 3 weeks early with her first. he was 8.5 lb.
i am currently 40+ 11 by LMP 40 + 6 by scan with first. Weight was 7lb by scan at 37 weeks. This baby is going to be mahoosive.
I would start telling everyone your due date is later than it is. I am getting driven completely mad- 3 to 4 phone calls a day- 'have you had it yet?'. Yes, but i thought i would keep it a secret. grrr.

i went into labour on my due date and dd1 put in appearence the next day. dd2 exactly the same

Both two weeks late. I went into labour with dc1 on the day I was booked to be indiced. What a relief

DS1 was 6 days late.
DS2 was 10 days late!

I went at 38+2 on DS1 - will let you know on second. My mum went 7/8days early on all us..rather go early than late but wouldnt we all!!! My due date would do this time as everyone seems to be going over on their 2nd..

DS1 - 10 days late
DS2 - 4 days late

1st baby 12 days 'late', second one day 'early'. Twas terrible waiting for first and awful that second came too soon - 31st Aug at 8pm - he'll always be the youngest in his year
