Did anyone use Ovusense to get pregnant?

Sorry to cross post this from the conception thread, but I figured those of you with successful stories won't be hanging out on the conception threads much anymore!

So I've been reading some promising things about both OvuFirst and OvuCore, but seeing as it's quite pricey I wondered if any of you ladies had any reviews or feedback you could give me? TIA

Currently pregnant with my first. Used Letrozole and OvuSense. It took 8 cycles using OvuSense. Highly recommended it. It pointed out that I wasn't ovulating. LH strips didn't work for me with my PCOS.

We'd been trying to 6 months when I brought an Ovusense. I fell pregnant the 2nd month using it and I'm convinced that's what worked for us. It was the only thing we changed those two months and the first month it couldn't accurately predict the fertile window because it didn't know my body. Second month it immediately identified when the window would be and I'm now 23 weeks.

I agree it is pricey but for me it was so worth it and I'll be getting a new one when we start thinking about another baby!

Thanks so much for the feedback @mishmh12 and @Lollystar15

Definitely sounds promising, were you using the core internal monitor? And was it very wierd? 🤣

I used ovu sense for 3 or 4 months to help me pinpoint what it felt like when I was ovulating. Then I stopped using it because I figured whatever signals it's using are maybe not the best for my bits.
The month I stopped using it I got pregnant! I actually ovulated earlier that month than I had the other months but I knew the time was right and so DTD twice in a row on day 11&12 (or whatever it was) when we would have just done every second day according to the SMEP and would have normally held off until day 14 & 15

I really, really don't mean to be funny but if you think spending around just £200 is pricey for the chance to have your own child which is absolutely everything to me and to you since you're ttc then I worry how you'll actually be able to buy a pram, cot and every other baby essential costing in total a lot more than that.

BellaBella1984 · 21/11/2021 08:38

@carboverload Don't worry we'll get most things second hand as buying new is something we try to avoid anyway. We both have good jobs (teacher/nurse) and a little bit put away. It's more a concern of wasting the money. I would hate to just throw money away on something which doesn't work, when I could have used it for, like you say, a buggy etc.

With some companies filtering out negative reviews on their sites, I think it's getting a lot harder to determine what's accurate. but the small sample size on here seems to be reflecting the comments left on the website thus far which is super positive!

I used ovucore

Lollystar15 · 21/11/2021 10:18

Yeah I had the ovucore internal monitor. I found it a bit strange the first couple of days but once I got used to it, I found I barely noticed it was there and it was really easy to use!

I conceived with Ovusense, took a few cycles though as was trying to conceive after mc and my AF disappearing for 18 weeks.

Now 27 weeks, totally worth the money in my opinion x

I conceived using OvuSense alongside Clomid. It helped me to identify that I had a short luteal phase. Took it with my to my NHS fertility doctor and he prescribed Clomid to move my ovulation forward. I conceived on the 3rd cycle after trying for 4 years prior to that. Just shows what can happen with the right information! Good luck x

I know it's not quite what you asked, and maybe you've exhausted everything else, but I found Fertility Friend to be the absolutely incredible.

It's very low cost, and takes a bit of time to understand but it really is good.
