Keep forgetting the pill-pregnancy risk?

I'm not sure if I'm in the right thread, but I've been on the pill the past couple months. This week I have been awful at remembering and ended up taking 2 pills every other day instead of severe day. How ineffective will this make the pill now? Like what chance do I have of getting pregnant?

Thanks!

Firstly, sort yourself out and take it every day when you brush your teeth or something.

Secondly, the pill usually has a half life, that is a number of hours before it leaves your system, so it could be that whatever brand you use stays in your system for 24 hrs, plus another 8 or 12 hrs or so - but you’d need to check that.

Thirdly, read the leaflet that comes with your pill from front to back, then read it again so that you know how it works inside out.

You can take the morning after pill if you are on the regular pill, but you might have to wait a few days after map before resuming taking your normal pill.

Maybe mirena coil or another type of contraceptive might suit you better if you forget to take daily medication?

if this is regular then pretty ineffective to be honest and depends on the type of pill e.g. it's probably less of an issue on a combined pill than a POP pill.

But as PP said if it is too hard to remember either 1. set a timer on your phone every day or 2. get a long lasting contraceptive

I had the implant before but it messed with me really badly. I'm usually very good at taking the pill it's just this past week because it's a very stressful time in my life.
I keep my pill packet next to my coffee because I have one every morning
It's the combined pill I have, it's called maexeni, I think it's the same as microgynon

I wouldn't rely on that as contraception tbh. It needs to be taken regularly, at around the same time every day, or it can't work effectively.

I'd use barrier contraception for the rest of the month and look at how to make sure you can take it properly going forward. If you can't take it regularly as prescribed then you may need to look at other options for contraception as sporadically taking the pill isn't reliable contraception at all.
