Hi everyone I'm 34 weeks with my second baby and at my scan on friday she is still breech shes sitting with her head right at my ribs and I'm getting worried she wont turn
I was hopeful and so was my doctor that I could have a vbac this time I had an emergency c section with my son due to distress and cord was round his neck
I really dont want another section and I'm really scared of going through it again

I have my next scan on 3rd December are there any ways I can help turn her
I've also seen alot things online to health problems in breech babies like autism hip problems and I'm so stressed out with it all
My son was always the right way so I've never experienced this
Any one any advice of breech babies all advice and help would be great driving myself crazy googling stuff ano I shouldnt but cant help it
Tia

34 weeks is still pretty early to be worried about baby being breech. Get out walking and bouncing on a pregnancy ball if you’re worried, but I don’t think positions is an issue till 36 weeks.

None of my babies were breech and all of them have autism. I really wouldn’t worry about a breech baby-autism link x

I I had a breech baby. They offered to manually turn the baby with an external cephalic version. It was my first pregnancy and the odds of that being a successful procedure are less when everything hasn't already been pre-stretched by a previous pregnancy. There are lots of articles explaining the procedure and many comments on MumsNet that I went through to help with that decision. I was also at a teaching hospital and they offered a feet first delivery. I didn't want that at all. I chose an elective c section. For what it's worth, I had a lovely experience and one that was VERY different from the many people I know who had a emergency one. I knew the date and time of the procedure, I was walked through it by consultants and the anesthesiologist and it was all done in about an hour from getting my gown on. Recover was also quick.

That said, obviously you know what you want, and there is still time for the baby to turn naturally. I would advise to do your research on the options so you don't have to make a quick decision later down the line without all the information.

Hoping it all goes smoothly for you!

I’ve heard good things about acupuncture for turning babies

I'm in a similar boat, 33+4 today and I can feel the head,or maybe the feet wedged in my ribcage, its uncomfortable!! I'm waiting till the next scan at 36 weeks to before I start proper worrying, although I am on my gm ball every night to try and get them t turn.

Thats interesting about accupuncture though, Thanks for that!

I've got a currently breech baby that did turn around at 33 weeks (after being breech the whole way) but then turned back to breech at 35 weeks Hmm

I'll get scanned at 37 weeks and then the options are manual turning and /or caesarean.

I've been trying the stuff on the spinning baby site and also moxibustion with acupuncture. No joy so far but I figure everything is worth a go! The Chinese doctor I'm seeing for the moxibustion says you're best to start it as 33/34 weeks.

Ps. I seem to know loads of people who had breech babies and no issues so far.
