Hi all,

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and this is my first pregnancy. I've had symptoms from about week 3, but the morning (or all day)sickness has ramped up this week.

Does anyone have any tips on how to keep functioning? I'm only sick about once a day but I'm totally off my food and feeling really nauseous all the time.

The thought of feeling like this for another 6(ish) weeks is not filling me with a lot of joy! Any advice would be welcome.

Hi op, I threw up really bad between weeks 6 to around 12 but still threw up a little at 14. My advice which was a god send is dried crackers and ginger biscuits. Second I wake up I'd eat a ginger biscuit. If I didn't get one in me in 5 minutes it's throwing up bile time. Mine came mainly at night also so don't eat massive meals eat small meals throughout the day and sips of water. I'm now 16 weeks and feeling allot better.

I was like this in the beginning and not a lot worked, midwife told me to have ice pops which did help a bit and also makes sure you stay hydrated. I ended up getting anti sickness tablets from the docs which worked. I'm now 25 weeks and I don't feel sick but do have the odd day where one min I'm fine the next I'm rushing to the loo to be sick but I'm one of those people where I'd much prefer to be sick than feel it. Travel sickness band did help a little but if you can't get one you can do the same trick quickly by putting 3 fingers down from your wrist and press your thumb into your wrist it's a great quick fix! Same with putting your wrist under cold water. Not sure if it's more of a all in your head fix but it did work for me xx
