Basically, I got pg earlier this year and all throughout my pg i was m/c obsessed! I mean i had 4 scans (one i paid for) and pestered to get a midwives appointment about 3 weks after i found out! I was a complete wreck as i think i just knew something was going to go wrong IYSWIM

Lo and behold mmc at 10 weeks on september 11th of all days

Anyway, I found out im pg again 3 weeks ago and havent even thought once that i may m/c again. Also didnt when i was pg with my 3 dc. Wether its because im due august (i only have end of july/aug babies so far) and thats kind of my comfort zone or wether i just know things are going to go swimmingly this time I dont know but Im totally chilled out this time. Midwife appointment is 3rd of jan 6 weeks after finding out just realised that!!

Sorry i've rambled but dp wont talk about it till i have a scan and i havent told anyone in rl yet so just needed to air

Would be interesting to know about other peoples experiences though

I've had 2 mc since dd and am now almost 30 weeks . Think the only way I've got through it is by being really busy looking after dd and not having much time to stress. Think I've also tried not to think about it too much (unlike with dd when I stressed over everything and couldn't envisage myself with a baby). I'm only now thinking about getting prepared and buying what we need- what will be the nursery is full of 'stuff' including a new cloakroom suite we haven't got round to fitting yet!
Good luck

Hi Jingle and all others - know exactly what you are going through I also had 2 m/c one earlier this year and one end of last year. I am now 21 wks (both others ended before/on 12 weeks) I had some bleeding in the begining too so thought this was the end but it seems to have stuck this time. I have been so paranoid throughout and still don't really relax but now that I can feel some movements do feel alot better.

My friend who had her frist baby no problems keeps on telling me not too worry but easier said than done!

I must admit I work myself up into a panic with my scans and I almost want to get sick every time i go for one - but everything seems to be ok for now. I had 4 private scans to ensure there was something there and put my mind at rest (also had bad experiences at EPU clinic midwives were horrid)best money I ever spent and my consultant was lovely.

Had my 20 weeks scan on Wed and its still there - I am a worry wort though so constantly run to the loo to check all is ok - can't bring myself to feel 100% positive - will when I am holding little one in my arms!!

Looney - congrats re: heartbeat - most reassuring thing to see/hear in the world!

Kitty - if you can afford one try and get a private scan - well worth it (but can be pricey depending where you live).

Good luck all!

Always put to the back of my mind that I was 'having a baby' and would think that I was 'currently pregnant' until a scan showed a viable pg developed past the 9/10week stage. At that point I would begin to think it might be possible. Would relax more if I got past 16weeks.
8 miscarriages. Most of them mmc requiring erpc. Some showing h/b at 7weeks which later stopped developing. So until I got past the 16 week mark I didn't count on everything being ok. Past that point I reverted to normal worrying.

hello mich, been away doing stuff
I don't know the doctors always say "there's nothing you did wrong" but I began to think is this true or is he saying this so that I don't feel it was my fault? The two things I did differently were to move around as little as possible (I was told this would make no difference but I feel like it did) and also I increased my iron intake. I didn't take iron tablets but a liquid called "floradex" or something like that. However I discovered half way through that one shouldn't take "too much" iron during pregnancy. That's googlable I'm sure. So then I just tried to eat iron-rich food. I wish you the best.

Hey Iliketo! I also felt different about this PG than my PG when I mc'd, I kind of knew that one was going to go wrong and was desperate to get to 12 weeks (made it 13 but MMC at 10). This time I have felt much more sure it would work out - though did have lots of wobbles where I thought "but what if it doesn't????"

I am now 16 weeks PG.

I don't think you can acutally "know" though! Good luck for you this time.
