Body moisturizer contains Vitamin A - what to use instead?

Hello,
I normally use Superdrug's Vitamin E body cream and have done for many, many years.
I am just over 5wks pregnant and looked at the ingredients to find it contains vitamin A, which I know you're not supposed to take in pregnancy except in food form etc.

I am going to stop using it but not sure what to use instead - any recommendations that won't break the bank but still be nice? Typically I stocked up on the cream a couple of weeks ago.
thanks!

I wouldn't think vitamin A in a cream is going to do any harm as you arent ingesting it. It also depends what form it is in. If its derived from plants then it's fine but if its derived from animals then its not advised (to take it as a supplement)

The cream says suitable for vegans/vegetarians so the vitamin A won't be derived from animals

A friend of mine who is an obstetrician told me that I should stop using my retinol face cream - retinol is a type of vitamin A so I do think it’s best to avoid it in skincare products. I switched to baby moisturisers which have fewer “bad ingredients” like parabens etc and actually still just use them.

It would say on it if it contains retinol and the cream OP is using doesn't contain it

I don’t think Vit A will be a problem in a body lotion, it would be a tiny amount. But I get you don’t want to take any chances, I’d be the same.

I used palmers coco butter by the bucket load, so Much so that the vaguest whiff reminds me of morning sickness. Very minimal stretch marks, but I think that’s Genetics rather than body lotion.

Aveeno is also very good if your skin is on the dry side.

Like the comment above- Palmers is really lovely! Not too expensive. I have the anti stretch marks which is nice (although probably nonsense) but also the hand cream is great (use it on extra dry spots).

Thank you all very much. I will investigate Palmers and see if I can find out for definite about the other cream. Although I'd rather be safe than sorry I think.
