I'm 27 weeks pregnant and for a week and a half now I have had severe headache which doesn't go away! I've been to mau and they have told me to come back if it gets worse. My bp and urine was checked and was normal. Painkillers are making it worse im not even sure if that's possible but im sure it is.
Also I have an under active thyroid and im thinking maybe this is causing it? I haven't had my bloods checked since 13 weeks pregnant.
Anyone had similar? Im ready to bang my head of the wall

I spoke to my midwife about headaches at 24 week appt a few weeks ago as been having them too, similar to you bp, urine, etc was all fine. She told me that your eyes can deteriorate in pregnancy too (never heard of this!) so to get an eye test and see if that’s causing any problems. Hope the headaches get better for you soon!

I got awful headaches at times when pregnant and it was often resolved by drinking a couple of cans of coke. It sounds really stupid and simple but I used to have absolutely pounding headaches were all I wanted to do was lie in a dark room and painkillers made no difference but if I had a can of coke it used to help shift them. I'm not sure why if it was the fluid or my body withdrawing from caffeine and needing the hitbut it used to sort them out for me.

Yep my midwife recommended a can of Coke and it did the trick!

HI OP, I also get terrible migraines in general and all through pregnancy, but this doesn't sound normal. If I were you, I'd keep persisting with it until someone listens to you. A week and a half is a long time, even for a migraine, especially if the headache is severe.
