Hi all!
I'm 38 weeks and have a planned section planned at 39 weeks due to baby being big and breech.

Is there anything you suggest that I absolutely need or don't need? X

Absolutely need an extra long phone charger cable, many pairs of granny pants, high waited leggings, changing stuff upstairs and downstairs to minimise stair usage.

Lactulose! A v shaped pillow (if you dont already have a pregnsncy pillow) made feeding (breast or bottle) easier and I slept leaning against it for a couple of weeks as dont normally sleep on my back. A big water bottle, peppermint tea for trapped air. I preferred loose jumpsuit type clothes to anything like leggings - didnt want anything touching my wound at all. My legs and feet were also too swollen for shoes for a week or so, so could only wear ugg boots or flip flops - so something to prop your feet up on will help. I used unscented shower gel to wash the area around my wound for a few weeks- not sure if thats necessary but was recommended to me! Two changing mats so you dont have to go up stairs. I loved these pants and still wear them as they are so comfy!

Good luck!

Massive knickers to cover your c section scar (was in mine for about 6 weeks as couldn’t cope with the elastic against the scar)
Peppermint tea for the wind
Paracetamol and ibroprufen at home for after
Extra pillows at home (putting them under my knees seemed to help the discomfort at night)
A spare baby blanket for the way home to put between your tummy and the seat belt ( really helps on bumps and quick braking)
If breastfeeding a shirt style night dress makes life easier and when taking off there’s no lifting over the head
A DH who fully understands that you’ve had a major operation and he needs to take care of the home, lifting, getting things upstairs
