Anterior placenta in second pregnancy. When did you feel movement?

Hello
I’m currently 19weeks 2 days with an anterior placenta. It’s my second pregnancy so I think I can feel very occasional movement. It’s so sporadic though and I’m very anxious (previous loss) so it’s stressing me completely out!
When did you feel more regular movement?
I’m so worried something is going to go wrong.
Thanks! And I know I’m being a total stress head…

Hi,
2nd pregnancy too and an anterior placenta this time. I am 21 weeks and for the last week or so have been feeling baby several times a day, every day and starting to be a bit of a pattern. I tend to feel movement low down, or to the side, rather than in the middle which the sonographer said makes sense based on where my placenta was at my 20 week scan. My husband is yet to feel movement from the outside, but I have!

Second baby with an anterior placenta here too! I started feeling movements really early - around 16 weeks - but it was pretty sporadic until late in my second trimester. I've had more scares over reduced movements than I did in my first pregnancy, that's for sure.

I'm 36 weeks now though and placenta location makes no difference at all - I feel like I've got a sack of cats in there!

I had an anterior placenta in my pregnancy with DS. IIRC I didn't feel any movements until around 22/23 weeks, even then it could have been mistaken for a rumbly stomach! Got more consistent around 28 weeks ish. Could go days sometimes without feeling anything

I'm a ftm with an anterior placenta and the stress of "where is baby now"
I'm 21w4d and I'm only starting to feel baby move a little more stronger now.
Baby reacts more to my partners hand around the bottom or side then my own :D .. I think they are picking favourites already hahahaha

I will also say, baby has quiet days and metal head rocker days, try not to panic too much but if you are worried absolutely check with your mw x

It's my first pregnancy and I have anterior placenta. I did start to feel the baby movement around 18 weeks but only when I was lying down with my hand on the belly and really concentrated. I remember the midwife said at week 16 how the baby was kicking her but I couldn't feel a thing. So keeping your hand on your belly might help to feel the movements.
Its also really depends on the position of the placenta too, as they can hide behind them very well. Around 28 weeks my baby turned head down, so her back is behind the placenta ( mine is high and on the left side) so now (31 weeks) I can constantly feel her head and arms (down) and her butt and legs (up right).

I'm 17 weeks, second baby, anterior placenta but can definitely feel flutters. I think it depends where abouts the placenta lies. I only ever feel flutters more to the right and definitely no pattern yet!!! X

Thanks so much for all your responses. It sounds like quite a wide variety and I’ll just have to really try and concentrate during the day to see if I can pick something up! If not I guess I’ll try and contact MW.
I have the 20 week scan next week so fingers crossed all is still well! xx

DC3, first with anterior placenta. Felt movements at 19+5. Same as you felt really anxious about it as I felt DC1 around 17/18 weeks and DC2 around 15/16 weeks. I'm 21+2 now and feel her every day and started feeling movement from the outside too.
Good thing is we have 20 week scans so you'll be able to actually see baby move soon enough! :)

I had an anterior placenta for both my pregnancies. 1st I didn't feel a thing until 21wks. With my second I felt more fluttering than the first and felt little twangs and prods from around 16wks

At 20 weeks began the obvious kicks x
