I can't believe it!

I've only just seen the back of some horrible morning sickness and almost like so sick joke SPD has relayed its way in to ruin the day.

I'm only 17 weeks and already my pelvis feels really heavy and it's hard to straighten up if I've been sitting for a while. No pain in my inner thigh yet but I know it's coming!

What can I do it get through these next 23 weeks as unscathed as possible.

Am I looking to get a girdle? I already have a bit long pregnancy pillow and and exercise ball to sit on.

Is it worth getting a physio referral or will they just tell me everything I can read myself online or people recommend on here?

Buy a snoozle for turning over in bed
Invest in a good pregnancy pillow
Look at pelvic partnership website for excellent advice
I started around 14 weeks and it has been a long slog so you have my sympathies xx

I developed PGP/SPD at 19 weeks & by 23 weeks I was pretty much immobile & using crutches to get around the house. I was referred to an NHS physio for exercises & wore a support belt but nothing helped.

I read the advice on the pelvic partnership website & the research shows that manual therapy is the gold standard. I found a local chiropractor who had experience in pregnancy & a after 3 adjustments I was off my crutches completely.

I'm now 37 weeks & can walk about 1.5 miles before I need to rest, I couldn't have imagined doing this a few months ago. The chiropractor literally changed my whole pregnancy & I couldn't be more grateful!
