Anyone any tips on how to not catch covid from my 6yr old son.
He tested positive on lateral flow today, myself & my partner negative. We're all waiting PCR results.

Anyone any success stories on stopping covid spread through the house or how covid affected them at 29wks pregnant. I am double jabbed but I have little faith in them & freaking out about catching it!

To add ..
son is doing ok, slight cough & temp but great form. Obviously getting closely monitored.

No advice on not getting it but my son (age 2) caught it when I was 38 weeks pregnant. I couldn't isolate from him as he was just too young to understand.

So he sneezed on me and drooled on me.

I did not catch it and wasn't vaccinated. I went for PCR tests every 4 days (no LFT yet) as it was so close to my induction deadline.

Speak to your midwife - mine called to check in with me and was very reassuring about what could happen and the care i would still get if I caught covid and went into labour

My 9 year old had it a couple weeks ago when I was 14 weeks. Before we tested her I was right next to her / her breathing on me etc. As soon as it was positive we opened windows and didn't shut them until she was negative and my partner and I wore masks around the house and we asked DD to do the same if leaving her room. We didn't catch it x

I should add - I have only had one vaccine so far, but OH has had both.

You could ask your 6y/o to wear a mask when in the same room as you but that may be excessive since the risk to you is so much lower because you are double jabbed.
Windows open as much as possible, cleaning of surfaces at least once daily, try to use separate bathrooms if you have more than 1, try and get your 6 y/o to be as consistent with hand washing as possible. Good luck!
