Anyone due in March?

Hi everyone. Just looking to see if there's anyone else out there due in March? Just had twenty week scan and all looking ok. Dealing with so much pain already though! Bloating and burning mid back pain making life very difficult and no real advice from doctor who just says it's normal! Where's the second trimester energy and glow that's predicted?! Anyway, would love to hear from anyone on the same timeline. There's no NCT or antenatal groups going on around me due to COVID so it's hard to meet people to compare notes with.

Hi! I'm due in march and had my 20 week scan yesterday (I'm 20+3) and it's all starting to feel very real now!
I've been suffering with mild to moderate hip pain and I can go from starving to completely bloated within the space of a minute!
Did you find out what you're having when you had your scan?

33degrees · 27/10/2021 10:48

Hi I’m due early March with baby no 4. None of my friends are at the same stage as me as Im 40. Like you, there are no bump to baby groups in my area either so I’m really struggling finding friends who are in my position. Annoyingly, I’m still 25 I’m my head!
Try the peanut app. It’s like tinder for mums!

claresp · 27/10/2021 15:27

Peanut app? Sounds good - will look! Maybe my age is part of the problem too then as I am also 40 (this is my first). My friends either have children who are older or no intention of having children.
My age worries me a little and may be the cause of much of my pain. I made the mistake of googling risks of pregnancy and birth after 40!
At the scan they said they were 95% certain she was a girl. I didn't mind either way but now they've said that I've my heart set in her!

Ye, don’t google! We’re ancient in the eyes of the WWW!
Peanut… be prepared for a few wicker-underwear-wearing free-bleeders, but the majority seem relatively sane.

claresp · 27/10/2021 19:45

I added and deleted the app within a half hour. Would like to meet some local mums-to-be but felt a bit too much!

Due with my second middle of March ☺️ much harder second time round as there's no time to rest with a toddler 😂

PollyRae16 · 27/10/2021 20:00

Around 22 weeks was my turning point for feel a bit better first time round so fingers crossed you'll get that second trimester glow

I'm somewhat beyond my baby making days, but wanted to pop on to congratulate you all. I saw the thread title pop up in Active Conversations and it brought back many happy memories. My March baby is now a lovely 13 year old. Taller than me but will still accept a cuddle from his mum.

March is a lovely time of year to have a baby. You have the spring and summer ahead of you to enjoy. But not too big at Christmas and New Year. Congratulations to you all Flowers

What a lovely message to send. Thank you Smile

There’s a thread of lots and lots of us!

@CagneyNYPD1 what a lovely message. I’ve been thinking how clever we are to be having a baby in March, for all of those reasons. Grin

toadstool32 · 28/10/2021 02:59

Hi! 21+6 with dc3 and ache big time!

Goldi321 · 28/10/2021 09:23

21+4 with 1st baby here! Feeling good but knackered, started a new job back in August with a horrible 1 hr commute each way and hating it. It’s a rotation for my training so I had no say in where I go. Already counting down to mat leave just to get me away from there! Work not being very understanding about the whole growing another human situation.
Got the pram and car seat arriving today, we wanted to get them sorted in case of stock issues and due to huge number of Covid cases in our area I’m not keen to head to the shops during the Christmas carnage. It all feels a bit more real now.
Stay safe everyone, I think we may be in for a bumpy winter!

33degrees · 28/10/2021 14:05

I’m dreading winter. With 3 DC already, there’ll be a steady stream of disease flowing through the house. Add onto that the potential for covid restrictions popping up… I tend to go into labour way before my due date, so could potentially be in the throes of a lockdown. Oh the joys

claresp · 28/10/2021 14:32

When are you starting Mat leave Goldi321? I've also got a horrible commute and with that plus Covid risk being a secondary school teacher and back pain am considering starting sooner rather than later. I'm currently 20 weeks.

Goldi321 · 28/10/2021 15:03

38 weeks officially but with 2 weeks of annual leave added on. Would love for it to be sooner! I’m a HCP so will be taken off F2F work with patients from 28 weeks and be doing telephone triage. Work are being annoyingly reluctant to let me do it from home (it’s easy to do, no extra set up required I just need a laptop) and can’t understand why I don’t want to drive an hour each way to sit in a room on my own all day in my 3rd trimester!

@claresp I would be considering the same if I were you. My brother and his partner are secondary teachers and have both tested positive this week. Have your work done a risk assessment for you? It is their duty to keep you and baby safe and from what I hear from my brother in his school it doesn’t sound like this is happening at the moment.

morningvenus · 28/10/2021 16:05

I am 18+2 & due end of March
I had an easy first trimester (except OHSS resulting from IVF)
But the second trimester is hard. Nausea, dizziness, pain everywhere, can't sleep at night due to severe leg cramps & can't find a good position because it hurts everywhere, lower back pain quite a lot, hair thinning & falling, hardly like any food :)
The midwife said it's all common symptoms & nothing to worry.
The only good part is that my manager is so understanding, she lets me work from home. even though we are expected to go at least 3 days a week

I also do not like not having classes around me. Was hoping to meet some mums, but let's see.

Don't know where you all live. But I live in New Eltham. If any of you is around, we can catch up for tea/coffee

PT1708 · 01/11/2021 13:06

Hi everyone,

I was over the moon to find this thread! I’m 20+5 weeks today, due 16/03/2022 😊 our first after trying for a while. Little boy ♥️

Our 20 week scan was last week and everything looked healthy. His cooking away nicely! I was skk I’m relieved after seeing him on the screen (he wasn’t half in an awkward position tho!)

Sickness has been pretty consistent since week 6 of the pregnancy and having to take anti sickness tablets to help keep my food down. Apart from the sore boobs and back ache, I’m finally starting to feel alittle more energetic!

Still haven’t felt him kick yet tho 🙁 Anyone else similar?

morningvenus · 01/11/2021 15:55

@PT1708 - Hey, I will be 19 weeks tomorrow. I haven't felt my baby kick or move yet either. I had a consultant appointment last week (due to multiple MCs before & some underlying medical conditions), she said it takes time for first-time mums to feel the baby kicks. She told me that if I don't feel anything by 24 weeks, then I should contact the midwife. But until then, shouldn't worry at all.

mrscotton · 03/11/2021 07:23

Hey, i am due 12th March with our first baby. Found out last week that we are having a little girl.

Had our scan last week and she was being very active and actually just started to feel some movement but very slight.

Been very lucky with no sickness at all but feeing very drained & could constantly sleep. Had low blood pressure a month or so ago so trying to keep on top if that.

Hope everyone else is doing okay x

claresp · 24/11/2021 11:59

I've decided to start maternity leave at Christmas and avoid the worst COVID risks. In pain a lot already anyway so goodness knows what I'll be like in the third trimester! Feel guilty leaving my year 11 exam class but there's always something to feel guilty about in teaching!
I am due 13th March, so 24 weeks. Had a midwife appointment yesterday and she wants me to come in another two weeks as I can't really feel any movement yet Sadshe made me feel quite worried about it! Am trying not to google and concentrate on trying to identify Movements. Felt a couple of thumps but not sure if I'm now just imagining it! Maybe I am just distracted by the pain?
Anyway, hoping she's ok in there. Heartbeat fine anyway.
Hope you're all doing well xx

Where are you based mrscotton? Nice to know I'm just the day after you. I am in Cumbria.

Hey lovely!

So sorry your having a rubbish time. If it’s any conciliation your not alone ♥️

I’m 24 weeks today and had an appointment with my midwife moved forward from 26 weeks as I wasn’t having any movement either. I’ve felt the odd kick here and there but no pattern. It’s made me feel horrendous, I’ve been so so worried about it all but the midwife reassured me with the Doppler. My placenta is also posterior so I couldn’t even blame that! I think his just a lazy monkey.

I’ve also been experiencing awful menstrual like cramps, I called triage on the night they were at there worst and they’d said unless I’m bleeding I shouldn’t worry, it’s most likely my uterus expanding. Now it’s the backache and stabbing pains on my sides. The beauty’s of pregnancy! I had a rough first 20 weeks of pregnancy and was sick morning, noon and night. It’s only at 22 weeks if stopped and turned into nausea!

You can tell his my first as I’m nothing but I’m emotional and frantic mess!

I’m due 16th of March, but we paid for a private scan 2 weeks ago and he was measuring bigger with a new EDD of 11th of March, I guess they fluctuate tho between these weeks so not trying to get to wrapped up in it! ♥️

Sending big hugs.

mrscotton · 24/11/2021 12:22

@claresp

I'm in Dorset so literally opposite ends of the country haha.

I have been feeling kicks now for 2-3 weeks now. Feel it most during the morning and slightly in the evenings. She has a habit of kicking my bladder at the moment though.

PollyRae16 · 24/11/2021 16:20

@claresp I'm 24 weeks tomorrow with my second and if it makes you feel any better her movements have only become more consistent over the past week and a half maybe. I sit and prod her all the time 😂
If you're still concerned you can ring the maternity unit and discuss with them or there is the option of a private scan to put your mind at rest. It's so hard when you only get two!
