And I mean a speck, blink or you'll miss it type of speck in a lot of clear cm this morning (after a bowel movement, sorry)
Anyone else had this ? Trying not to worry about it as it really was small and pink, and so far hasn't happened again.
I've had loose bowels the last couple of days so been having to go a lot, could this be related? I'll be 6+2 today

I have to insert pessaries and tablets twice a day aswell, and when I did this mornings my cervix felt rough ! Like it was grazed or something Confused

Could it have been pressure/trauma from skin when passing the bowel movement and not vaginal?

However I think a tiny bit of spotting is normal during pregnancy, I also had some at around 5/6 weeks which didn't have any effects. If you're worried though do contact your doctor, always best to check if you're concerned.

@dreaminginvintage no it was deffo vaginal as it was in a load of discharge (hate that word)
Had no more so far so hopefully it was just a blood vessel or something on my cervix ?!

@whataglouriousthingtobe keep an eye on it and if it starts up again give the doctor a call. Otherwise I'd say try not to worry, light spotting can be common in first trimester!

I had the same around 6 weeks and nothing since, I’m 24 weeks now. I was on progesterone pessaries.

Thanks for the replies. Been clear all day since so I'm blaming the bowel movement lol
Honestly such a nerve wracking time isn't it

I had this twice after a BM (was constipated). Paid for a private scan both times and they said it was a tiny haematoma in the uterus, and the pressure of straining was pushing a little blood out. If it's just a little and not accompanied by cramps, I'd keep an eye on it. I probably overreacted with the early private scans, but had a miscarriage previously so wanted to check. My miscarriage symptoms were different - heavy cramps and coffee grounds discharge.

@Ac1234567 I'm sorry about your loss.
Yeah it was honestly tiny I wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't looking but you still freak out anyways ! This is an ivf pregnancy so very aware of my body and also very paranoid. Got my scan Thursday just wishing the days away

@whataglouriousthingtobe totally understandable, I think when it's not been the easiest journey, it def adds a level of anxiety. Good luck for your scan on Thursday 🤞 hope all goes well. These early days are so stressful

The exact same thing happened to me around the same dates - it was after a BM and no blood ever since. I've had scans after this experience and baby is active/healthy.

Don't worry, it sounds very normal and you'll be ok Flowers Keep an eye on things if it starts again and reach out to your EPU and they will give you some advice x
