I had an early pregnancy scan on the Nhs
I'm 7 weeks.
I just felt like she was very rough. And now I'm worried.
Should I be ?
Anyone had this experience?

Yes, early scans are safe.

Yes.
I had one at that stage at my ivf clinic.

Oh no! That's awful op, sorry she was rough. I had a rough internal early scan, (two, actually, second was better but still uncomfortable). First felt worse than a smear. Baby was totally fine though, just a wee little jelly bean chilling out in there. He's now an enormous toddler tornado so I am hoping you feel better soon but if you are not sure maybe just check with your gp?

I think they sometimes are busy/ are trying to find the embryo/foetus ( I'm just saying those words depending on gestation) my baby had a knack of hiding throughout my pg.

They do need to push quite hard for really early scans as baby is very tucked down in your pelvis. They're well protected so it won't have harmed the baby but it can feel uncomfortable!

I am sure if it was on the NHS you should be fine. The guidelines say you should not have an early scan unless clinically necessary until 10 weeks. If it was the NHS then you needed one and did the right thing. Try not to worry. I had a bad experience with an early scan at a private provider and decided not to have an early scan unless clinically required as a result. It was hard this time to wait until my 12 week but I am glad I waited.

Thanks ladies.
This is my rainbow baby and I'm just anxious about everything.
