When did you start to get really uncomfortable

Morning. I'm 27+2 (first baby) and still feeling relatively comfortable. If I have a big meal in the evening I have to get husband to help me take off my socks but otherwise, I still feel pretty mobile and flexible and can pretty much do everything (except do my coat up over my belly, see you some time next year, coat!). However, coming up to the 3rd trimester, I am conscious that this is the time when things start to get physically a bit more difficult.

Did you find you weren't able to do certain things as you got bigger? When did it start? I want to prepare myself if it ends up not being long before I can easily put on my own shoes!!!

I was fine all the way through, bump was compact and stayed high. I mucked out my horse and lugged hay about on the day I had DD.
I did find turning over in bed a challenge but that’s all.

It's so individual. I was really lucky and never really felt particularly uncomfortable (delivered at 40+5). I ran up until I was 39 weeks and walked 10 miles 2 days before she arrived 🤷‍♀️

From maybe 34 weeks, I know I had a fall around then, I'd just had my nails done & I fell going through the front door in to the porch, my balance was shocking from then. I really popped around 35 weeks, my bump dropped really low. From 32 weeks I had awful sleepless nights, I had restless legs & heartburn, I was always hungry & spent a lot of the night on the sofa stuffing my face with Rice Krispies.

In my first pregnancy- I didn't at all.

In this pregnancy (currently 37+6)- conception Blushawful sickness and then crippled from about 20 weeks onwards. I'm generally fit and healthy with no health issues and this has just floored me!

I was pretty uncomfortable from about 30 weeks onwards and had PGP as well. However I didn't have any trouble with my own personal care or daily activities. To put shoes on just put your leg to the side a bit. I also put my own compression stockings on in the theatre before my cs, that was a bit of a challenge.

Sorry OP but I'm laughing/cringing at you getting your DH to put your socks on for you after eating! That's a bit cutesy isn't it?

Do you know what I wish I'd done before now- cut my toenails 😂 I missed the previous time I would normally have done them and now they're annoying me every day! I mean, I could do them same as I clearly don't go out barefoot but I'm all bump up front and it's bloody awkward so it can wait, hopefully I won't be wearing holes in my socks before baby comes.

No way my partner is doing them either although I'm sure he would!

This is my advice to every pregnant friend- trim your toenails regularly, you never know when it will be too late!

I've been uncomfortable in bed from 30 week this time round. 34 weeks now and shoes are starting to get tricky.

This is second pregnancy and finding it much harder - last time i had loads of time for walks, pregnancy yoga, etc etc but this time once I've been to work and got the three year old to bed I'm bushed! Definitely think moving more (spd/pgp allowing) makes a big difference.
