Csection scarring

I had an ELCS 2 weeks and 3 days ago.

My scar is higher than I expected and to say it was a planned section it is wobblier in appearance than I envisaged.

It is healing well except on one side there appears to be an indentation of around 1 inch long.

Has anyone else had this and did it resolve over time?
Has anyone tried massaging the scar to help with this issue?

It almost feels Asif the skin is folded under and attached to something.

The midwife said she can’t feel any lumps but I can.

I had internal stitches so nothing was visible externally. Wondering if perhaps this is the cause and it will hopefully resolve

I know this is super trivial but it’s really bothering me as my belly has otherwise returned to normal (except the linea nigra)

Thanks in advance

My midwife said they tie it at one side so it could be that? Mine didn’t look nice at all at 2 weeks. I’m 7 weeks post section now and it’s much much better looking. I haven’t massaged it at all, I asked on another post on here about massaging but the girls on there said it was best not to due to so many of them getting infections even as last as 8 weeks after

Absolutely do not touch it let alone massage it at this stage. It’s the way they stitch you up that sometimes you get a bit of skin that’s like a flap hanging over, almost as if it should be tucked into the scar. It will go away. I’m 14 weeks post section and the scar has flattened out, but honestly don’t touch it

Its very early days so you need to give yourself time to heal properly. I've had 4 sections and have one scar. It's just below the top of my bikini line. I don't even think about it or notice it anymore. I never did anything with it - no massage, no creams. Leave it be.

4 years on and mine is fading. It's very wobbly and was very lumpy but eventually it started to smooth out. Major surgery and all that.

Everything passes. Even c section scars.

I've three scars and they're all wobbly and cross over each other. They did look a bit strange and lumpy early on but now they're definitely flat and I didn't have any trouble with them. Don't touch your scar, that's asking for an infection!

Mine felt lumpy and bumpy for a couple of years, along with completely numb patches. Four years on, it's a thin silver scar that's barely noticeable with no lumps or bumps at all. I don't remember when it healed compleltely.

I've had 3. The first time my scar had an indentation on one side and was quite raised up. Each subsequent time my scar has actually been made neater and less noticeable - I wonder if maybe because the surgeon was more experienced each time. Youngest is 8yo and my scar is now barely visible but does have a very slight indentation on one side. I would leave it alone just now.
