Anterior placenta, low kicks & frank breech

I was wondering if anyone on here has had a baby who’s frank breech and also had an anterior placenta during their pregnancy and if so what your movements were like?

My I’m 30 + 2 with my first DD and she’s been in a frank breech position since about 24 weeks. I’m not bothered about having a c sec, I’m more concerned about potential issues she may have as I’ve read all sorts of horror stories. Her growth chart is really consistent and she’s at the 51st percentile however I don’t feel much by way of movements and had a few ctg monitorings (all came back fine). Just worried sick at the minute - a consultant at my last scan on Thursday said I may not feel many kicks due to placenta placement & her being frank breech, but there may also be underlying issues too they won’t know until she’s born. Not stopped crying since!! I had a cvs at 12 weeks which came back clear for the trisonomies

Hiya, my baby was head down until 32 weeks where he turned breech. I've also got an anterior placenta. Movements are mostly low down in cervix, his foot also gently pushes above my belly button sometimes but I wouldn't say I feel tons of movements up top due to placenta.

With regards to what your consultant said, What was the reason for suggesting potential underlying issues? Breech babies are quite common as far as I'm aware. I have had several growth scans and they've never suggested breech being an issue xx

Hi, I'm 36 weeks and also Frank breech and anterior placenta. I've been up a few times for reduced movements and all his checks have been good. They havent said to. Me about any issues that he might have. They just keep saying hopefully he will turn. I have another scan on Wednesday so I'm hoping for some movement by then.

@jessicakxx I’ve been in a few times complaining about feeling very little by way of movements generally, which was always attributed to the placenta but, I don’t know, it just wasn’t sitting right with me so I kept on and got a referral for a fortnightly scan at the fetal health unit at the hospital I’m registered with. It was during my most recent scan the consultant said not feeling much movement could be my placenta and because she’s frank breech with her feet right on the placenta but she said it could also be down to other issues such as fetal contractures and arthrogryposis. Which is what has sent me into a tailspin so I thought it would be worth checking on her to see what ladies in a similar position to me have experienced with regards to fetal movements xx

@Jennileigh have you ever felt much by way of movements or has it always been fairly muffled / sporadic for you? X

@Ivfgottahope it's always been sporadic. He's never had a routine and I can easily go a few days without feeling anything at all. I still don't feel like I get the big kicks that everyone else seems to get.

Movements are individual on the baby. So it sounds like for you your baby’s movements are normal, whereas for somebody who’s baby moves 30 times an hour every hour this would be significantly reduced.
