Groin pain

In my first pregnancy I had pelvic girdle pain but not until quite late on. This is my 2nd and I can hardly walk. Can't put much weight on my left leg and feels like my groin is on fire. I'm 15 +2. Could this be if starting already?

Your body remembers the first pregnancy so the aches just sort of reappear as if you never stopped being pregnant! Your midwife should be able to refer you ASAP if you ask x

I got referred but they are just doing video physio just now which to be honest was a waste of time! I'm going to push for an actual face to face appointment. It's unbearable now and can't even turn over in bed

Oh bless you! I can completely empathise with you - I need crutches at times to walk now, although I'm 37 weeks so am on the home stretch.
Push them for F2F physio and a support band. Unfortunately there's not a whole lot more that can be done xxx

Ye I'm defo gonna push for it. I paid private last year when I was pregnant, can see me doing that again this year. It's just frustrating when you can't do basic stuff!

I feel you completely. Phone this charity and check out the website for help.manual therapy is key to helping ease your pain.

Delegate jobs to family around you if possible. Apply heat or cold. Get a satin nightwear to make turning in bed easier. Buy steps so you’re lifting your little one less. Ask for help when you need it. Get crutches from the maternity physiotherapy dept. This is physically useful but also signals how serious the condition is. Listen to your body when it’s asking you to stop and rest. Best of luck x
