Oh I've just found out I am pregnant, I must be 8 weeks already. I have a 9 month old baby and I'm freaking out. How will I cope, can I do this, do I want another one.
I have a 6 year old too. We don't have the biggest house and my partners two older children come to stay too. It's tight as it is.
How do people cope with 18 month age gap? Thanks

If it makes you feel better @mummytotwoboys0600 I'm due in 2 weeks with baby number 4 and my youngest is 10months old 😖
I've had the same concerns as you throughout the whole pregnancy and honestly the first 12weeks I just cried and didn't want another baby, I've been panicking about how I'm going to cope, can I give them both enough attention etc and worrying about how tired I'm going to be 24/7.
We aren't the first to have a small age gap and we won't be the last.
I just think if Sue Radford can have 22 and smash it, 2 under 1 will be a breeze 😂😂
You'll be absolutely fine, you've got this xx

It's actually not that bad. You're knee deep in nappies as it is, and changing 2 is not much more work than changing one. You get so fast at it!

You're "in the zone" and that helps a lot. It's all the same. And you have all the clothes, all the toys etc. You have a buggy already. We didn't bother with a twin buggy in the end, we got a toddler board, but it depends on how active your elder one is.

They also like the same things, the same cartoons etc. They have the same friends. It's very cute.

Downside: the sleeping, obviously. It extends your sleepless nights by another child. But it passes.

I had a 15 month gal between DS2 and Dd plus a 7yr old.

People made it sound like my world would end but actually I found it easier have two close together. Nappy changes still needed to happen, very similar toys wants and needs and activities suited both of them.

Sleep was the main issue but once I was up and about and in the zone it wasn’t too bad and they both napped at similar times for ages!

They now 3 and about to 2 next month and it’s so lovely! They’re little best friends we have the best times

Just to add my 3 yr old is being assessed for autism so I also had that thrown into the mix

Oh gosh, bless you. Yes 18 months doesn't feel so bad now! I think it's because we decided on no more children, so this has come out of the blue and I'm in a whirlwind of emotions thinking... we didn't even want another one 🙈 good luck xx

Thanks ladies. The 18 month gap will be a challenge but one we can master I'm sure. I have a 5 year gap between my other two so it was so easy. We decided on no more children so this has come out of the blue so I think that shocks me most! What's meant to be will be! X

It's fine, you're already on the ball because you have a young one. I found the big age gap between my first and my second, approx 9 years, much harder.

@mummytotwoboys0600 I still have no baby 😩😩 I've been in slow labour for 10 days and nothing and the midwifes won't touch me until next week.
I'm considering booking a private membrane sweep on Wednesday to try and get things moving as I'm already 3cm and her head is fully engaged.
How are you doing? X

Oh bless you!! It's so frustrating having to wait isn't it. When was your due date? Have lots of sex, that's what started my labour off 😂 and warm baths.
Yea I'm doing okay thanks, still struggling with the idea of being pregnant and find myself crying at times wondering how it's all going to go but I'm sure everyone feels this way. X

@mummytotwoboys0600 this is the problem, I was given 2 due dates. I'm 38+3 going from the NHS 12 weeks scan but 40+1 from the private 13 week scan so it's just a guess at the minute.
I'm at the hospital for an MRI on Thursday as I've been having severe headaches, loss of speech and limb movements since I went into early labour and they still won't do anything to give me a push along, it's just been a complete shit show the last couple of weeks.

Ahh bless you, I was exactly the same because of the shock aswell but you will come to terms with it and start really enjoying being pregnant and the thought of having another little baby.
It's going to be hard but it's not going to be hard forever and it flies. I can't believe my youngest is 1 next month, it's absolutely crazy and I had a few moments where I thought about running away cause I couldn't do it x

That's quite a difference isn't it. I'm guessing the nhs will only go by their dates rather than a private scan. I had a private with my last pregnancy and they dated it earlier than nhs but nhs didn't go by private scan dates only their own.
Hopefully things start happening for you soon x
