In theory I am 33 weeks, though todays appt had me measure full term .

At the beginnning there was some confusion over the dates but the 20 week scan showed all seemed to be correct for dates. Anyway, midwife having me for another scan just to check as it seems all baby and less fluid.

My first was 8lbs 15 and a half with plenty of fluid, but now I am feeling scared that they will tell me I have overeaten and made the baby the 'big' size.. is that possible.. I mean I know I like my marmite and toast at the moment.. I will die I think if I am the cause of this, am having a planned section too, so will be relieved when I know if the dates could be wrong.

Anyone else been told they are/were due big babies?

V similar happened to me, i had to have weekly scans because my dd was supposedly so enormous.
She was 8.5 but really that's only slightly above average.

Anyway my mum always said that bigger babies adapt to the world better, so try and look on the bright side!

And good luck!

Martha, to be fair to the hospital, that was the only remotely unlovely experience I had, and I do love my very big cuddly daughter! The midwives all laughed (in a nice way) when she came on to the ward - she filled the perspex box... She was quite a the (not so) little celebrity.

I was told constantly that mine was a 'wee' thing - then he came out at ten and a half pounds. They always get these things wrong from what people post on here

if you are having a section, what are you worried about? Big babies are a good healthy sign
