Hi everyone, I'm just asking if anyone else was in the same situation or if anyone has some advice this is my first pregnancy so unsure on a lot of this and riddled with anxiety , so I'm 7+3 , I ended up in a&e two nights ago, due to some cramps and back pain and loss of symptoms... I had bloods done where they told me my hcg was very high but my inflammation makers was slightly raised , they did an abdominal ultrasound but said it wasn't very clear and although they could see the pregnancy, she wasn't sure if she could see the heartbeat or if it was one of my blood vessels... tbh she didn't really give anymore information and never said if it was measuring correct for dates or not or anything else , she did ask if my periods are regular though ( they range from 24 day cycles to 30 ) I wish I asked more questions now but I was a crying mess and it was made worse by my partner being made to wait outside in the car

I have another scan tomorrow morning but I'm really nervous and haven't slept more than an hour since the hospital visit.

Has anyone else experienced this and had a happy ending ? Will my partner be allowed at the scan tomorrow?

Just to add I had the covid vaccine ( first jab ) at 5 weeks ( didn't realise I was pregnant) could this have caused any issues ? I know they say it's safe.

I'm sorry you're having a tough time. Were you experiencing any bleeding? Cramps and back pain are very normal in early pregnancy. Also even if you were having a miscarriage (which is unlikely and I really hope you aren't) there is nothing that the hospital can do, so I'm actually very surprised they scanned you. Normally it takes a few days to arrange a scan, it would be better to have a transvaginal one but that will probably have to be arranged via the EPAU.
